Been paddling for a couple years now and always just figured the lower back ache after a few hours was normal, kind of part of the sport. Turns out my factory seat was just garbage. The padding had flattened out and the back support was basically nonexistent, so I was slouching without even realizing it.
Finally swapped it out for a proper replacement seat a few weeks ago (went with one of the Vibe Kayaks seats since a buddy recommended them) and honestly it's a night and day difference. Way better lumbar support, straps that actually stay adjusted, and I didn't feel wrecked after a four hour trip last weekend for the first time in a while.
Anyone else put off replacing their seat for way too long? Curious what others are running. Always looking for recommendations before my next upgrade.
