Hello everyone, Im a New member from Scotland UK, Im a very keen salmon angler and fish many rivers here in Scotland. I use both fly and lures when i fish but my favourite method is spinning with my homemade lures which have rewarded me with many salmon up to 15lbs or approx 12kg.
Im also a very keen collector of ABU Swedish made lures and have been collecting them for over 10 years now.
I dont speak Swedish, only English im afraid but i can use an internet translation site where needed although this can be slow.

Welcome Mr Quinn ! to this fantastic Swedish web site. I'm not a salmon angler my self so i´m afraid i cant help you in that matter. Even if i´m not so competent in English i'm certain that you will find enough English speaking people here so you dont have to translate.

Scotland is a fantastic country, i have been there once. Whisky trip 4 years ago.

First I have to ask what the f--k you are doing over here when you´ve got fantastic rivers such as Dee and Tay? Then I really have to say wellcome I do only use fly fishing equipment but are well formiliar with spinn from my former years. Unfortunately ABU never tried to develop the market with fly rods and reels, well - there is some but it´s all just crap.

Anyways, wellcome to sweden! If you´re around Stockholm, send me a PM before and I´ll take you out for some salmon fishing in our concrete jungle. The salmon runs at about june, maybe late may. It´s special but it´s well worth it...

The language should not be a problem, this is Sweden not France or Spain.

I am not an avid salmon fisherman , so I do not have a clue about salmonfishing, but I like the fishing gear very much so please upload a picture (at least) of your homemade lures, if you want to share your "secret weapons" with us.

Here is a link to accomplish that: upload
Under "Välj kategori och klicka på fortsätt" choose :Utrustning. You should scroll the list almost to the end.
Then hit the "Fortsätt" button and u get the upload page.
On the upload page then there are only two things you need to fill up.
1) Fil (Max 1MB) -> This is the file size and hit the browse button to get to the picture file on your computer
2) Titel: This is just the tittle
3) Beskrivning: This is the description ( optional)
