Hi there!
There used for putting bait down hard on the bottom in running water in an exact spot with out it washing down stream. So you can drop say three loads of hemp with it and then start fishing over the top with a bomb or feeder.
Once you have it your hand you can see how it works, and you thread your hook throw the wire stem and press it in the rubber in the back, or attach it with a link swivel direct which is safer.
