I think I will visit the takleshop and look for a bite alarm, carphooks and some other stuff.. your tacklepage helped me alot now I know what to look for.

For how long is it possible to catch carp? I dont no if the like the cold water or not.. I know I woudnt

One more question.. Landingnets for carp looks hugh.. my cant match one of those.. its 55x28cm is it to small?.. dont want to harm the fish so do I need a bigger one?

Hi, YES it is very important to have a suitable landing net for carp fishing. Landing big carp is not an easy task in the first place and with out a landing net, you will not get the carp. If you did, you would probably injure the carp. Never ever take a carp up by its gills.

By a cheap, but large enough landing net to cope with carp you can always use it for pike fishing aswell, i do

You can catch carp all year round, but personally i stop carp fishing around October/ November. I like to try and catch Pike now, but not with much sucsess.

About the tackle, buy cheap / Secondhand gear first then upgrade as you progress, thats part of the fun. I have been carp fishing for over 20 years so i have had plenty of time to buy what i have now.

Well I will look for a cheap/secondhand landingnet and a unhooking mat.

Have a fox warrior rod and shimano 6000 baitrunner reel im going to use for pikefishing so i'm starting with that. Nothing fancy but its a start and as you say the upgrade part is fun but it will have to wait
