I think I fish, in part, because it's an anti-social, bohemian business that, when gone about properly, puts you forever outside the mainstream culture without actually landing you in an institution. It's a nice position. No one considers you to be dangerous, but very little is expected of you.

Hehe men för det första får man inte ta med sig ett luftgevär på en offentlig plats. Man får aboslut inte skjuta på fåglar om man inte är markägare har jagrätten eller är anstäld av komunen som ansvarig för jaktvård och skadedjur. Igentligen så xatt dom tog fönstret kan ju vara ett rent misstag men att dom ens har med sig geväret och varför är ett större brott som skulle fasta i polisen register.Deluxe lures thats my work.

The problem is that the locals at Ballasjön have had a lot of problems with "So called Carpfishermen" for years (even before i started fishing there 4 years ago). Unfortunatley we have all been "tarred with the same brush". When they see a green "tent" they immidiatley associate the person with, drunkeness, littering & fish killing amongst other things. Yes, they are right in a way, because it does happen unfortunatley! But this is what we are trying to prevent. Most of the locals around Ballasjön know my face and i am always pleasant and polite to them for obvious reasons. Hopefully they do realise that it is only "the minority" of irresponible "carp fishermen" that cause the problems. They also have to put up with the "Bollebygd Hellmoppers", a gang of teenagers who party up at the lake at most weekends during the summer, trying to cause as much upset as possible before the police get there. They drive round in shit cars and on scooters/motorbikes like maniacs thinking they are taking part in a Formular 1 race. They hassle the carpfishermen at Balla and really piss the locals off.
There has been discussions about making another 'Fiskekort' system to prevent, or at least try to prevent the handfull of idiots who fish there, but it has not seemed to have materialised.
In a nutshell, the locals at Balla don't like the "bivvy brigade", due to the large amount of problems that have been caused over the years and its Leif who gets in in the neck every time!!
And there has been a lot of unhappy visitors to Leifs house this week, i can tell you!!!
So this is not just one incident, it is ANOTHER incident to add to the huge list that have piled up over the years.
But a lead pellet through a house window is utter stupidity, Children live in that house for christs sake!!!!!
I think this has sealed our fate at Balla, the locals have had ENOUGH!!!!!! :-(It's Better to have it & not need it, than need it and not have it!

Carpoholic is on hunting fools now! And as Carpoholic said in an other thread: ”It was me or them... and I am still here.” Chris is upset now, very upset!

Talking about mistakes: When you carry a weapon - an airgun is a weapon - you MUST know for shure that nothing, absolutely nothing, exept for that THING you are aiming at, will get hit. A bad shot or a ricochet that ends up in an unexpected target, shows that the gunner is not able to handle a gun. It just shows a disastrous imaturity to take a gun to a lake where there are a lot of fishermen, animals, birds and equipment, that can be hit by accident! And it is not legal too!
There are days when I wonder why you are allowed to buy airguns at such a low age as 18 years. This especially when scientist has showed that the human teenage of today is not passed untill you are above the thirties and first by then the youth have gained the grown up maturity, which was the normal for twenty years old humans just three or four decades ago.
And to you gunners att Balla! You have had your ball. Now is the the time of hangover. You have read what the cure is. Take it! Your names will anyway come out the backway. And your backs will carry the burdon from then on, wherever you go, wherever you come, wherever you stay.
What you have done is not heroic, it is just stupid and inmature. Show at least for yourselves that you are not complete fools. Pay your price now untill it get higher. This might even save some days of fishing for you.
