Titanium Leader - how long?

Hello,

i have received Titanium and additional staff for building Titanium-Leader by myself.

How long does the Titanium Leader have to be for an optium fishing with the jerkbaits:

1. Big Bandit (19,5 cm)
2. Buster Jerk (15cm)

Is there a general rule how long the leader has to be - have heared that a too long leader will negatively influence the action of the bait while a too short one can lead to line crashes when the pike has the chance to cut the line...??

Approximately 50cm is a good standard length.

I never use a leader over 40cm.
30 cm is ideal acording to me.
