    Hi Chris!!

A jerkbait in the purist sense has know built in action, the action comes from the movements of the angler via braided line and a stiff actioned rod!! but of course there are exeptions, some jerkbaits have a some degree of action when straight retrived!!

A wobbler has a vain on the front, to first cause wobble, and secondly make it dive!! but they can be fished well on a jerkbait outfit, you can break the straight retrive with twitches and jerks,

As for catching more or less fish, i would say there equal, but ive found the hit from the pike to be often far more aggresive!! sometimes brutal!! When fishing with jerkbaits!! they seem to trigger a differant kind response!!

Jerkbaiting its something once you try it, an have a few pike!! you get addicted, its not just the fish, but lure collecting its a worse disease than carp tackle!!! trust me!!

But if your thinking of giveing it a try first time!! try calling PA Högberg at www.lundgrensfiske.com hes got plenty of sound advice, and hes English is better than mine, well at least his spelling!!

    William..
I think I fish, in part, because it's an anti-social, bohemian business that, when gone about properly, puts you forever outside the mainstream culture without actually landing you in an institution. It's a nice position. No one considers you to be dangerous, but very little is expected of you.

Thanks William, i will have a look there.
I take it that jerkbaits are topwater lures??? as they don't have a vien.

........................... and speaking of wobbler collections......... well, i am a victim of collecting wobblers

There are topwater jerkbaits, then you have slow sinkers, fast sinkers, some rise up in the water when paused, others just seem almost hang, or surspened, the choice is endless, some wobble and shake while there sinking!! some dart, left to right, others glide, its just endless!!!

I think that you should start of with a couple of Buster Jerks and Salmo Sliders. They are the most newbie-friendly jerkbaits I know of. They glide from side to side very easily and cost around 130 kr which is a very good price when it comes to jerkbaits.

Newbie friendly Yep, i am a "Snag-Man" wherever there are snags i seem to find them
130 kr isn't cheap for one lure, i think i will have to sell / swap some of my rapala's

Do you have any pics of these Invandare-friendly jerkythingies??

                  Thanks for the info mate
