Wobblers & Jerkbaits ???

A jerkbait combo like this from Lundgrens,is a great start, it wont set you back more than 1600kr, it will make a nice baitcasting out fit for jerkbaits big wobblers, and a great trolling rod!!

As for lures!!! the choice is endless, but start with three baits to cover three columes of water, surface, middwater, and bottom!! and proven fish catching pattens!!

Topwater choice!!!

1) Butcher Dancin Raider, ive caught more 20lb pike on this lure than eny other!! you can get them rather cheap at www.attitudebaits.com, you fish it with a rythmatic down ward jerks!! eny colour, there a f@cking dinner bell for big pike, rattles like bongo drums!!!

Middwater choice!!

2) A salmo Slider in large sinking!!! go for a natural colour, ie RSH or RR, they have plenty of belly flash!! There a idiot proof lure!! and a pike magnet, a great side to side darting action, easy to cast!! can be trolled, straight retrived, or jerked again with soft down ward jerks!!

Bottom choice!!

3) Spring Dawg!! in Cisco, first choice but all colours catch!! there easy to cast all day long, unlike there bigger brothers!! theres a hell of a lot of bull sh@t writen about Bull dawgs!!! its all crap!!! you just cast them out, let them sink, wind them in!!! they catch pike!!!!

Also worth a look a www.pikeandpredators.com forum, mind you be warned its often like cyber world war three on there!!! often better than whats TV!! theres a huge wealth of pike fishing tips, both bait and lure!!

Can't i use a spinning rod and "haspelrulle"????

You could, but the rings on a spin rod are very small, so it not very practical, plus its worth getting to grips with a multi reel, once you use one for lure fishing theres no going back!!!

A better comprimise would be a 11ft carp rod and 4000 to 8000 size baitrunner, loaded with braid, you could easy fish the three lures i picked out.

But give a baitcasting set up a try!! maybe best to spend a day on the water with someone first, show you the ropes with casting a multi reel,

Quite right, there crankbaits in England to, we also call them plugs!
