Have a look at my ZPI tuned Morrum SX1601C Forell

It's fitted with:

Daiwa cork knobs supported with 4 ball bearings
Bearing supported level wind
ZPI 85mm Carbon handle
ZPI RC-416-RS Ultra light magnesium spool & SIC ceramic bearings

I'm also about to install a ZPI low down thumb-bar kit as soon as it arrives from Japan, which should further increase user comfort.

The improvement (casting efficiency with light lures & overall smoothness) from the standard Morrum Forell reel is simply massive.

Well the Daiwa cork knobs supported with 4 ball bearings and ZPI 85mm carbon handle might impress on some. The carbon handle is no beauty, I say. The rest will do well, I suppose.

I go along well with the ceramic hybrides as such allthough the tolerancing does need some serious attention to make sense in a small reel.
Even though my spools are all blue too, the rest is kind of "over the asian edge" to suit my taste.

I wonder how it performs, a shot-out test would indeed be interesting.

The new ZPI handle with the bearing supported cork knobs is maybe the biggest improvement on the whole reel. The original handle with the round wooden knobs is an awful piece of equipment, which gives you the feeling of using a worn out coffee grinder. Actually, the Daiwa cork knobs are much more than a gimmick as they are very, very durable and extremely comfortable to grip.

The casting performance of this reel is simply unbelievable and I don't use any other brake settings than the ZPI magnet brake.

I can imagine the differance.
My spin to the poor handles is to cut up a EON Pro dual handle (with roller bearing knobs), drill off the original knobs from a standard handle and replace it with the rollerbearing shaft riveted in place.
Indeed a serious improvemnt in feeling, although a much more stealth approach as no one really will notice it. I have on the other hand passed 40 which typically requires a more modest view on my gears appearence.

Not what I know (and I should know this), but there are 160 and 2601 reels out there. Same reel but with "quick release thumb bar" that on auctions typically gets redicolously expensive.

As a left hand winder, enjoy your little jewel you got there, it's great. Maybe you should look at the dragwashers.
