BTF Stiff vs. Savagegear JB

    BTF Stiff vs. Savagegear JB

    Hi guys!

    Had an accident today, which ended the short life of my Kinetic BronzeAge Jerkbait rod. Was visiting a friend, and we were discussing rods, so I’ve showed him the one I had lying in the back of my car. Pulled the line softly, max 3-4 kg, just to give it a little flex, and POP – the tip broke!
    Surely a warranty issue, but I simply can’t wait that long. So I’ll have to buy a replacement. Now to my question: what to those?

    There aren’t that many good rods on the marked here in DK, so I’ve narrowed it down to these two that are somewhat available:

    BFT Stiff (most of you know this)
    Savagear (Prologic), Jerk Bait 150 gram.

    I haven’t tried any of the rods in action, though have had a closer look at the BTF at a local pusher, but they seem very equal.

    How are they to work (jerk) with and how is the action (I do prefer a little top action)?
    Have any of you guys tried the Savage and how is it (a screw down handle sounds like a plus to me )?

    Write back in English or Swedish, it was just easier for me to write in English…

    I heave fished whit both of them and im definettly a savagera guy. The rod is very light, sensiteve, responsive and has a nice action and it allso has a 5year warranty. The Buster stiff just didint fit my hand it whas a bit lazy in the top and vasent eaven close to being as responsive.

    just my 2 cents

        I recomend Savagear (Prologic), Jerk Bait 150 gram. a good rod with extreme good balance..

          Bought a Savagear today, 500:- Dkr. Good price and great rod! Tried it out and I’m very satisfied. Had a brief contact with a pike, but he wouldn’t come to the surface – little bastard

              Nope, unfortunately not.

                Ok, to bad, im going to buy a two parter next time. One part is just overkill and in the way all the time..
