Greenpeace are well meaning, but they don't know much about environment. I'd compare them with PETA. A Bunch of city slickers that think they know something that they really don't have a clue about.
For instance their campaign against seal hunting resulted in ten times more seal dying due to illness, and starvation than there ever where hunted.

What is good about such organizations is that they put focus on aspects that do need change such as hunting and fishing methods. Ethic behavior in nature and such thing.
